RFID tag reading
The portable RFID reader is the ideal solution for registering the user consignments during door to door collections via automatic identification of the containers bearing RFID tags.
A technological solution in line with the content of Ministry of Environment Decree 20/04/2017 that sets out the criteria for the realisation of Precise Measuring Systems by town councils.
The portable RFID readers for waste collectors are used in continuous “hands free” mode while acquiring data, which takes place naturally by bringing the tag on the container close to the reader, without having to press any key.
By pressing a button, the operator can add additional information to the consignment, that can be configured, for example, as:
It can also report wrong consignment, such as the consignment in unauthorised containers or the abandoning of waste, by acquiring the GPS position. Lightweight, simple, user-friendly interface, designed to limit interaction with the collector and to guarantee maximum efficacy on the job when collecting data used for precise billing. It can be exposed to bad weather and extreme working conditions thanks to the IP67 protection. The RFID reader stores up to 3000 readings that are automatically sent to the remote server via an internal SIM card. The battery is sized to abundantly guarantee coverage of the work shift. RFID tag reading system on board the vehicle
The RFID reading system on board the vehicle is the solution for registering all consignments of waste by users of any type, via the automatic identification of the container bearing the RFID tag.
A technological solution in line with the content of Ministry of Environment Decree 20/04/2017 that sets out the criteria for the realisation of Precise Measuring Systems by town councils.
The tag detection system comprises a reader that uses RFID UHF technology. It has an integrated aerial and/or one or more external aerials that are used to pilot and propagate the electromagnetic waves produced by the reader, guaranteeing sufficient coverage for the container tag to be read. The RFID reader provides all the information to a multi-control central control unit that links the GPS position, receives a number of other inputs from the vehicle and sends the data to the Operational Centre web system.
The RFID reader can command an integrated aerial (0-3m) or up to four external aerials (typ. 0-10m). In this way, the best configuration can be selected based on the mobile vehicle to be equipped, without having to consider different equipment on other vehicles. The RFID reader is certified to be able to function correctly in the most severe conditions, such as found on mobile waste collection vehicles:
The RFID system has been found to be the right solution for every assembly and usage need for constant and precise data collection in several situations, thanks to its project capacity and programmable, customisable intelligence. The tag is read automatically by bringing the container close to the external aerial and without the operator needing to press any button. The reader can be kept turned on without any contraindication or being switched on after an event (e.g. PTO activation). The antenna power can be set from a minimum of 0dBm to a maxim of 30dBm, depending on position and coverage it must guarantee, and can be easily adjusted using the software. The RFID reader has a digital relay (relay, LED, buzzer), and a trigger input.

Computerised Collection Centre Management

With all its functions and characteristics, the CCR Plus software allows all-round management of the entire Collection Centre, tracking waste and production, and also managing documentation as required by law.

At each consignment, score can be associated directly with the weight of the consigned waste; this score can be used to reward virtuous users;
Environmental protection and social solidarity
The Recycling Centre software heavily supports the diffusion the culture of reutilising goods, based on the principles of social solidarity and environmental protection. It thus reduces consignments to the Collection Centre of items that are in a good condition and can be reused by other users and not disposed of as waste.

The Recycling Centre is vitally important for lowering consignments to the Collection Centre of items that are in a good condition and could potentially be reused by other users rather than be disposed of. The “Recycling Centre” computerises procedures and creates a database of items that can be shared with the community, using suitable computer tools. The “Recycling Centre” solutions enjoys an integrated touch screen system (POS) with pre-installed software that offers the following functions:
When registering an item, the system prints an adhesive ID barcode for the item, that is then stuck to it. The code is then read via a barcode reader during pick up, so it can be identified and catalogued as “transferred”.
Whenever the maximum storage period comes to an end, the item can be sent to the Collection Centre and the consignment is linked to the user who released the item to the Recycling Centre. Information about the Recycling Centre and the items contained there is shared with the community via the website “ioRiuso.it”, that can be used both on smartphones and via the information section on the dedicated App for citizens, used to manage waste in their municipality. The citizen can book a pick up of an item via the website and via the App. When booking, a reference code is generated to be presented at the Recycling Centre to pick up the item.
